Key Features:

1. Role-Based Access:

   • Administrators: Full access to all recordings across the platform, including the ability to delete, embed, preview, and view detailed meeting information.

   • Lecturers/Teachers: Access to recordings related to their courses. They can embed recordings into course materials, preview recordings, and view detailed information.

   • Students: Limited access to recordings that are made available to them by their instructors. They can preview recordings and view relevant meeting details.

2. Filtered View:

   • The dashboard automatically filters recordings based on the user’s role and permissions, ensuring that each user only sees recordings that are relevant to them.

3. Recording Management:

   • Delete: Users with the appropriate permissions can delete recordings directly from the dashboard.

   • Embed: Easily embed recordings into course content with a single click, making it simple to integrate video materials into your teaching.

   • Preview: Quickly preview recordings to ensure you have selected the correct video before embedding or sharing.

   • Detailed Information: Access comprehensive details about each recording, including:

     • Start Time: When the recording began.

     • Duration: The length of the recording.

     • Size: The file size of the recording.

     • Participants: A list of participants who attended the meeting.

     • Additional Details: Other relevant metadata about the recording.

How to Access the Dashboard:

• Navigate to your Moodle site and access the Stream Recordings Dashboard at /local/stream to start managing your video content.

Tip for Easy Access:

To access the dashboard easily, we recommend adding a link in the user menu. Follow these instructions to add the link:

1. Navigate to Site Administration > Appearance > Themes > Theme settings > User menu items.

2. Add the following line to the user menu items configuration:

   dashboard,local_stream|/local/stream

Using the Dashboard:

1. Browse Recordings:

   • The main dashboard displays a list of all recordings you have access to, based on your role and permissions.

2. Search and Filter:

   • Use the search bar and filter options to quickly find specific recordings based on keywords, dates, or other criteria.

   • Select a recording from the list to see the available actions (delete, embed, preview, view details).
