Configuration
The Local Stream plugin in Moodle allows you to configure settings related to streaming services and recording management within your Moodle environment.
Accessing the Plugin Settings
Direct Access
You can directly access the plugin settings by entering the following URL in your web browser: https://yourmoodlesite/admin/settings.php?section=local_stream_settings. This will take you directly to the configuration page for the Local Stream plugin.
Manual Navigation:
Alternatively, you can navigate to the Moodle administration area of your site:
Click on the "Site administration" gear icon located in the top right corner.
From the dropdown menu, select "Plugins" and then "Local plugins."
Locate and click on "Local Stream settings" to access the configuration page.
Configuring Settings

Stream URL
This field requires the URL of your streaming service. Enter the URL provided by your streaming service provider. For example, "https://yoursite.stream-platform.cloud".
Stream Key
Enter the stream key provided by your streaming service. This key is necessary for authentication and access to your stream.
Stream Category ID
Enter the category ID associated with your stream. This helps in organizing streams into specific categories if applicable.
Platform
Select your preferred meetings platform from the dropdown menu. Options include Zoom or any other integrated platform.
Storage
Choose the storage option for recordings. Options include "Stream" or any other designated storage.
Recordings per Page
Set the number of recordings to display per page. Default is 10, but you can adjust it based on your preference.
Days to Listing
Specify the number of days for which recordings will be listed. Default is 1 day.
Platform Settings
Fill in the account ID, client ID, client secret, and secret token if applicable to your platform.
Embedding

Prefix
Enter a prefix to appear at the beginning of the recording name in the course, if desired.
Add Date
Select "Yes" if you want the date to be added to the recording name.
Hide on Course Page
Choose "Yes" to hide the recording from students on the course page, if required.
Order
Select whether you want the recording to be embedded above or below the original meeting.
Saving Changes
Once you have configured the settings according to your preferences, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Save changes" button to apply the changes.
